What we look for

• Materials and safety. What is it made of? Is it safe if a dog chews it? For food and treats, we read the ingredient list first.
• Real usefulness. Does it solve a problem new dog parents actually have?
• Durability. Will it survive a puppy?
• Consistent reviews. We read the negative reviews, not just the five-star ones, and look for patterns.
• Fair price. Expensive doesn't mean better.

What we don't do

• Brands don't pay us to be listed.
• We don't make up test numbers or reviewer counts.
• Our recommendations aren't veterinary advice. Your vet knows your dog best.
